Our new HR manager will maintain the overall responsibilities for our Oslo office. As HR Manager you work closely with the Executive Leadership Team as well as local and global managers. In addition to the overall HR responsibility, you will be a part of several global groups.
The position reports to CHRO for Magseis Fairfield based in Houston.
Overall responsibilities
- Be a strategic business partner for the global business functions and local HR for Scandinavia based employees
- Be a trusted point of contact for all HR matters for managers and employees
- To ensure excellence in all aspects of HR practices and processes
You will:
- play a key role in executing the Company’s vision, mission and values
- make recommendations and execute strategies related to HR and organizational development
- ensure that the managers and employees are equipped with the knowledge, competence and ability needed to achieve Company strategy in order to drive the business forward
- develop efficient plans, tools and systems to ensure all aspects of the employee life cycle are handled in a professional and timely manner
- support managers and employees in personnel related issues
- be responsible for and optimize recruitment, onboarding, terminations and offboarding processes
- provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices compliant with laws and regulations to promote an ethical and safe work environment
- analyse and interpret data as required to support HR strategy in core functional areas
- responsible for competence mapping and initiating trainings required to uphold skilled personnel in the organisation
- planning promotions, salary and incentive reviews in accordance with the Company’s compensation and benefits policy
- continuous improvement of processes and ways of working to achieve best practice
- contribute in budget planning for HR and training
- manage Global HR Analyst located in Oslo
- initiate and execute various HR projects
We believe the right candidate has a global mindset, and navigate well in complex organisations. Familiarity with the on/off shore context would be an advantage. Preferably you have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in business, administration, human resources or equivalent.
- Minimum 8+ years of HR experience, preferably from an international organization.
- Strong working knowledge of Norwegian employment law and practices.
- Experience with budgets and HR analytics/dashboards, headcount reporting, and other key HR metrics.
- Experience supporting an executive level team
- Experience with payroll or overseeing the function. Experience with outsourced payroll is especially useful.
- Experience working closely with Finance team in the support of the business (Headcount reporting, etc.)
- Experience supporting equity/stock programs for employees
- Experience working/partnering with tglobal and local managers on employee matters
- Office management/facilities experience in some capacity
