The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Secretariat is now recruiting their first HR Manager. This position offers the chance to work in an international and vibrant working environment helping citizens of resource-rich countries benefit from their natural resources, and to work on subjects at the cutting edge of development and the extractive industry.
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven HR Manager who will have responsibility for our overall HR processes and HR systems. Key tasks will include building office culture, support staff performance, execute an effective HR strategy. The right candidate is motivated by developing a positive office environment with fulfilled and engaged employees. The role will also be a critical part of bringing new talent into EITI, administering processes within our talent team, overseeing and ensuring successful delivery of contracts, new starters and integration.
Areas of responsibility
- Develop and improve core HR procedures and systems, such as benefits, employee relations, recruitment and onboarding
- Implement key recommendations of the external HR review
- Deliver an employee experience that supports the culture and values of the organization
- Support managers and employees in various HR-related matters
- Ensure timely HR admin support, such as contracts, 3rd party management, sick leave, holiday allowances etc.
- Provide recommendations to guide decision making related to compensation, organizational structure, attrition, promotions, disciplinary actions etc.
- Proactively identify and organize employee learning and career development, retention strategies, and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with employment and data compliance laws in Norway
- Source and recruit candidates from various online channels
Required Qualifications
We think the right candidate has a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures, with a proven experience as an HR professional, minimum of 5+ years. You lead by example and have strong organizational skills with the ability to critical thinking. You are able to establish good relations and communicate efficiently. Further qualifications:
- Relevant, advanced University degree
- Proficient knowledge of Norwegian labour and compliance laws
- Excellent command of written and spoken Norwegian and English. Other language skills will be a plus
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HR systems experience will be a plus
- Experience working in an international environment is an advantage
